First Choice Care is seeking Registered Midwives and Clinical Midwives experienced in Antenatal, Postnatal, Birth Suite and Women's Health Unit for temporary contracts in Mackay, ranging from 4 to 12 weeks (full-time hours).
We are also preferred suppliers across regional and rural locations in Tasmania, Northern Territory, Western Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales, with contracts available year-round. You can choose to work as much or as little as you like.
Mackay, located on the tropical coast at the mouth of the Pioneer River, serves as a gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. The region offers over 30 stunning beaches and remarkable natural sites like Cape Hillsborough's pristine shores and the ancient rainforest of Eungella National Park.
About You
You are a dedicated and qualified Registered Midwife who thrives on the adventure of travel nursing. Resilient and adaptable, you maintain a positive attitude in new environments.
Requirements
- Unrestricted AHPRA Registration
- Current National Police Check certificate or willingness to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Midwife
- Recent birth suite experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation (preferable)
- Fetal Surveillance Education (preferable)
- K2 Certificates (preferable)
- Midwifery Emergency Training (preferable)
- Australian working rights
- $200 Living Away From Home Allowance Per Week (NT & NSW placements)
- $500 reimbursement for international travel costs (T&C's apply)
