First Choice Care is seeking experienced Registered Midwives for temporary contracts within the Murrumbidgee region of NSW. We are looking for midwives with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in Antenatal, Postnatal, Birth Suite and Midwifery Group Practice. Locations include Young, Cootamundra, Deniliquin, Griffith, Leeton, Temora, Wagga Wagga, and Tumut.
The Riverina region of NSW offers a variety of activities and experiences. This agricultural expanse, covering over 9 million hectares, includes the Kosciuszko National Park and extends as far south as Bendigo in Victoria. The area is generally flat with hot, dry summers, but a four-hour drive to Mount Kosciuszko National Park reveals mountain ranges, pristine bushland, and a cool climate ideal for grape growing and wine-making.
First Choice Care is a preferred supplier across regional and rural Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, Northern Territory, and New South Wales. We have contracts available year-round, allowing you to work as little or as much as you like.
About You
You are a dedicated, qualified Registered Midwife who enjoys the adventure of travel nursing. You are resilient, adaptable, and maintain a positive attitude. You will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Unrestricted AHPRA Registration
- Current National Police Check certificate or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience
- Recent birth suite experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation (preferable)
- Fetal Surveillance Education (preferable)
- K2 Certificates (preferable)
- Midwifery Emergency Training (preferable)
- Australian working rights
- NSW Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
