First Choice Care is looking for Registered Midwives experienced in Antenatal, Postnatal, and Birth Suite to work within Cairns & Hinterland, including locations such as Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba, Cairns, and Mossman.
First Choice Care also provides opportunities across the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales, and Queensland. You will have placements available all year round!

About You
You are a dedicated and qualified Registered Midwife who enjoys the adventure that comes with travel nursing. You are resilient, adaptable, and maintain a positive attitude. You will possess the following:
- Unrestricted AHPRA Registration
- Current National Police Check certificate or willingness to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Midwife
- Recent birth suite experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation (preferable)
- Fetal Surveillance Education (preferable)
- K2 Certificates (preferable)
- Midwifery Emergency Training (preferable)
- Australian working rights
- $200 Living Away From Home Allowance Per Week (NT & NSW Placements)
- $500 reimbursement for international travel costs (T&C’s Apply)
